Black Sails (Anne Bonny)
Anne Bonny loved the sea from the moment she stepped on deck. She remembers how she felt that very first time, with the cool air whipping through her hair, the salt spray washing over her, the roll of the ship under her feet. She thought it was like dancing, not that she's ever had much chance to dance, but she imagines it must be that same.
She and Jack are ashore now, bound to Nassau and this brothel as surely as if they had been marooned there, but she knows they'll go back soon. Her soul is in the sea.
