The meeting with the Blackthorne child had brought so much light back to Nicolette's eyes that she could hardly contain herself. Once she had been relieved of Micah's presence, she wanted to make her way to her family and let them know that their beloved sire was alive. He may not have been completely well, but he was alive and the Drake strength would bring him out of these dire straights. The blood that flowed through his veins flowed through hers and she would feed Lucien her own life-blood if it would bring him back to proper health. Also, she needed to get him out of that Lybvian hospital as soon as possible and back into the palace so that he would be more comfortable. The woman had not yet taken the time to shower or change. Instead, she ordered her ladies to search the palace for her husband and children, as well as Lucien's daughter, in order to gather them to her. Whether they came to her all at once or one at a time, that did not matter. What mattered was that she wanted to be on her way as soon as possible. She also needed to make phone calls to the ORPI and inform them that the royal party would be moving to Lybvian for a short period in order to take care of her brother's needs. "Where is my husband?" She questioned one of her ladies as she stalked through the palace at a pace that some of her girls could barely keep up with. A young girl tried to catch her breath as she trailed behind the Queen as best she could, "We haven't found him yet, Majesty, but we only just started looking." Nicolette stopped and the young woman skid to a halt, happy to have a moment to stop and breathe, "Then find him. And my children. I need them all now!" |
