"Yeah, if you could..." His reaction to the news that Erin wasn't keeping food down encouraged her to open up a little more. "See, part of what I want to find is a book on, well, on snakes. Maybe he needs a diet that would fit with that? Breads and the like seem to upset his stomach..." She bit her lip. "And, if I don't show up or if someone at least doesn't show up, he might freak out... He seems really, really emotionally messed up by what happened, you know? He really seems like a good person... I mean, maybe someone else, part of that other group, had some kind of ability that made him do what he did. Then, it's not really his fault, right?"
She'd gotten on a tangent. "Um, well, we think it's important. I'd like to find some more supplies that could help with the electricity problem, like kerosene lamps or something, and maybe some things to keep the smaller kids occupied. I think there was some talk about looking for a store that could provide for a garden at some point?" She ticked off the people who were coming along on her fingers. "There's me, and KJ, and Joyce, and Tayne. And I also wanted to ask if you still had that pistol, or knew where I could find another one to use on the trip, just to be safe?"
