"You think...?" It was obviously a sarcastic and rhetorical question from her tone, a version of calling the monster bait Captain Obvious without using such juvenile terms. Reiko shot twice more at the monster before deciding that running was, indeed, the most useful option. To hell with standing around waiting for the thing to fall; it was too tall for her to get a decent head shot without putting extra effort into the aim. And, somehow, she couldn't imagine much good coming from just standing around in wait of a decent chance to shoot the thing.
From her peripheral vision, she saw something move in the general direction of a thrift store on the other side of the street; but pausing to see just who or what it was didn't even cross her mind. Wasting time was suicide, especially with a large, pissed-off monster advancing toward herself and what she decided to call 'the other foreigner' based on the hints of British accent in his tone. Maybe if they survived, she'd pry into his history. Or shoot him for making the monster come after her as well. Whichever the mood demanded... Reiko had only just settled into the task of running away, finger still wrapped around the trigger in her refusal to be caught off-guard. She would kill herself if it came to it, just to get the last laugh in the face of that... beast.
"You could help!" What kind of person would be able to survive without some kind of weapon? Knowing her luck: this guy. Nothing like a liability being the only other survivor. For a second, she considered the option of just killing him to create a distraction; but something in her conscience kept the idea from becoming a reality. Killing another human was a lot different from just using them for her own benefit or killing a monster that would, if given the chance, kill her as well. Fine. He could live. But she wasn't above finding a way to slow him down if she needed to save herself by turning him into monster bait. It was his fault the monster had come in her direction, after all. Or so she thought, without stopping to consider that she was the one who shot it.
The sound of the car alarm startled Reiko. She turned sharply to face the source of the noise, instinctively aiming her gun toward the offending car. Her imagination expected another monster to be responsible for the sound, and her trigger finger twitched slightly, but it wasn't. Or, at least, it looked like a normal person. Another survivor. Had someone opened the flood gates in Survivor Land? Better yet, was this guy suicidal?! She would have asked something aloud, but stopped herself the moment her mouth opened. This was, perhaps, the perfect distraction. No need to divert the creature's attention away from the presumably-suicidal survivor.
Reiko glanced at the 'other foreigner,' who almost seemed to be intentionally keeping distance from her, and gestured in the general direction opposite the monster and the car alarm. There was another abandoned car not far from them - a decent opportunity to duck and cover while waiting for the creature to wander away. If nothing else, it was better than just running through the street until someone broke an ankle or lost their breath. Slowly and - she hoped - inconspicuously, she faltered backward toward the car. Now, to hope the monster really was stupid enough not to notice...
