Who: Coyote and Mia. When: ~9:30 PM. Where: Inside the hotel entrance. Woooo, this was sure a grand adventure, wasn't it? Running around the city... trying not to get killed, either by monsters or by dehydration, or just plain starving. It was fantastic. Great fun.
Coyote was currently resting in an alleyway, chugging down the water from his last bottle. He stopped at about halfway through, and contemplated his current situation. He was hungry, it was dark, there were monsters and he felt like he was at the end of his rope. Something awesome had to happen tonight, either finding other people or finding a magical stockpile of food, or else he was going to direct himself to the nearest corner and start weeping.
Which he may or may not have already done. ...once or twice.
He stood up, sticking the bottle in his dusty backpack and glanced around for any signs of life. He'd been presented with a bit of a predicament: The monsters seemed most active at night, but he could travel easiest when it was dark. It was a little dangerous--but if he was careful enough, they shouldn't notice him.
After all, what're they gonna say to each other?
Hey, look at that shadow. It moved.
He melded into the darkness, reappearing several yards away and took a few steps before the same thing happened. This was how he mostly traveled these days. It was helluva lot cooler than just walking. If he heard any sounds--even if it was just his imagination, he hid. He was not going to take his chances, because being mauled to death was about as far from the top of his 'how I'd like to die' list as spontaneous combustion, both of which sounded incredibly unpleasant.
Coyote continued for a little while longer, glancing around for signs of human life--and when he saw the large sign, he swore he heard a choir of angels. A choir of beautiful, beautiful angels he wanted to hold and never let go.
He slipped in beneath the door, his form reemerging from the ground once inside.
"...s'up, anyone here?" He called out. "Got any fooood..." he said to himself quietly as he glanced around innocently.
