Ok, so maybe she'd misread the high roller, because this kind of shit was precisely their scene, wasn't it? Lights that flashed, chicks that were younger than them, the pretense of being boys again. Oh, he wasn't ancient or anything, but he was probably close to Neil's age, and that was older than her. Not an old man like Elias, though. Though there was nothing wrong with old men like Elias. She dragged her fuzzy thoughts back to the present, and she shrugged. "Sure, yeah. Where are we going?" she asked, calmed enough by the Blue that the invitation didn't freak her out. She knew this wasn't kitchen guy. He wasn't from some other country, for starters, and she would have remembered that voice. "What are we calling better music?" she asked him, because it could be worse. They could go from top-boring to country or some shit like that. "Because, believe or not, it gets worse than this, baby." But it wasn't her scene either, and she'd made her point in all that yellow and leg. Yeah, sure, they could go. She wouldn't turn down a drink either.
