Re: By the Bar
Pepper and Felicia were far too similar for there to be a clear line dividing the two of them. It was Pepper that insisted on keeping Felicia out of whatever happened beyond the door, primarily so that Felicia didn't say anything she wasn't supposed to. It didn't help that when things got particularly emotional, or when Pepper consumed a great deal of alcohol, it was much easier for Felicia to quietly poke through Pepper's memories. The relationship between the two bordered on adversarial in some ways, usually when Pepper commented on Hailey or when Felicia commented on Tony, but they did their best to make it work. They hid in each others' lives, taking refuge in the work of the other just to forget for a little while.
The martini was finished and she gestured for another as a commotion broke out over by the gazebo. She couldn't see very clearly so she set her feet on the small bar situated between the legs of the stool she was sitting on and pushed herself up, balancing with one hand on the bar to try and get a better look. Was that Ms Maheu on a table with Mr Henry? Her eyes went wide with surprise and she teetered forward as she tried to crane for a better look at the shenanigans going on. Her hand curled uselessly on top of the flat top of the bar and she found herself back to sitting on the stool. Slightly surprised, Felicia brought her gaze back to Silver, smiling, and then she caught sight of another martini. She stirred the liquid with the three olives stuck on a neon colored spear as he spoke.
"Good. That's good. It's not like you had anything to do with it anyway. Would've told them so myself but it was her turn." It was almost always Pepper's turn. Felicia saw that his drink was still mostly full and clinked her glass lightly against it. She wondered how many he'd had to drink which led her to wondering how long he'd been here. "Are you going to drink that?" she asked warmly, looking up at him once more and smiling.
