"We'll pretend I only wasn't minding a smidgeon," Jules said willingly, taking a sip of his champagne a second later. "I would say we could tell Hunter there weren't no tumbling, but I'm real sure that would be lying. I might not remember much, but I'd remember if you couldn't get it up for me, honey," he assured Zee, positive that was the case. He'd been a sheltered little thing, Jules, despite everything external indicating otherwise, and he was sure being hella drunk was the only thing that had made his small self brazen enough to go hunting an older man like Zee had been.
"I just met that boy, and I can tell you all that fuck off and anger is fussing. He's hurt. You go on and bandaid the child with some sweet talking," he suggested. Jules had just met Hunter, but even he could see all that hurting lingering and festering behind that anger.
