"Yeah, I think maybe you were." He smiled at the memory, something with more leg than he'd almost known what to do with. "And a pretty face that I'm starting to think was a hell of a lot younger than should've been in that... bar." There was an upturn at his last word, more a question than not. He was fairly certain it was a bar, at least. In that, Jules definitely had more memories of the night than he did. And he was starting to regret that more than usual.
"I'm not one to salvage things." It came out flatter, too honest, and he eyed the distance to the nearest bar on the roof. "And even if I was, he's not going to let me do any riding any time soon. Don't even wanna talk to me, and I gave him my word I'd let him be. It's not worth much, but I like to pretend it is."
