She leaned into the hug but she wished she could do more for him. "I'm glad it wasn't me, and it wasn't her either. I believe her, mostly because she's got no reason to lie about it," Bailey replied, though she wished she had been there. She knew enough about how to take care of herself to at least be able to help him, or so she told herself.
"We'll get through this, Kolya, and Theo will find out who did this to you, okay?" In all honesty, she would prefer to just forget it and move on in the hopes that whoever hurt Nikolai would just leave them alone. They couldn't just forget about it though because she was afraid that whoever it was would come after him again. Her hand moved down to stroke his arm in what she hoped was a comforting manner, but if he didn't need anything, or want anything, well that was okay with her. She'd still stay and keep an eye on him because it made her feel better.
