Bailey hadn't left Nikolai's side and any attempt to make her do so was met with a hearty 'Fuck off Ezra'. He meant well, she knew, but she loved Nikolai. She'd never hurt him on purpose and after a very long, very firm conversation with Harley, she'd come to the conclusion that the crazy woman wasn't responsible for the attack. That was a relief.
She'd called Theo to make sure that he handled things the way they wanted and that meant no police if they could help it. He'd complied for the most part, promising her absolute discretion and that was exactly what she wanted. For now, though, she just wanted Nikolai to get better. As soon as Theo left, she returned to his side, taking up residence in her chair again.
"He didn't bother you too much, did he?" she asked.
