Re: Outside
Damian took off his jacket, shoes digging into the shallow pavement before he started into a sprint after her. He wasn't a boy acrobat, so blindly jumping off a building in his condition proved to be one of the more dangerous things he'd ever done. It didn't matter. There was something to prove tonight and though he was still unclear on the objective or the goal, he'd still chase after it.
His feet kicked off the side of the building and he aimed a little lower than she did for an easier shot. His swing was wide and for a moment he appeared to just vanish somewhere behind her as if his promise was a downright false one. Moments after she landed on the balcony, she wouldn't see much of anything. No noise of a hissing grappling hook through the air. No thump of Damian landing somewhere nearby. And, just when it seemed like he either fell to his death or chickened out, Damian's hands reached up to grab the edge of the balcony so he could pull himself up next to her.
It dawned on Damian that this was a familiar situation. While swinging through the air just below her to make sure she didn't fall, he thought about the heist game he had set up for her only weeks ago. He planned on playing a more dominate role this time when he caught up, even if his stomach was swimming in nerves. That all went to hell though, once he caught sight of the bruise on her forehead. Instead, he just waited for her to either keep running or make a move.
