So forceful. So greedy and needy and childish, and if they were on his turf, Crane knew this would be an entirely different story. A laugh escaped him, despite the blade that threatened, the gun that pointed, his back that ached, because all of it was too funny for words in his stressed little mind.
"Murders. Both of you," Crane muttered beneath his breath as he worked his way out from beneath Damian, backing away with his hands held up, the universal sign for peace, or at least that's what he believed. "Just so you realise. I'm not leaving because you demand it of me. I leave because the two of you are boring." His voice shook, his steps uneven, calling out louder as the distance between them increased. And then, Crane disappeared around the corner, gone.
