Re: [Ballroom]
There was something about being referred to as her knight that brought forth a pang of guilt amidst the pleasure of such a title. Oh, Bruce knew she was capable, but he still liked coming to her rescue all the same; he just didn't understand why he would feel guilty. But he shrugged it off as unimportant, because it was. Why worry about something that didn't make any sense at all? "Am I?" The question was warm and teasing, secret knowledge shared between them. "I can't say I don't enjoy it."
Oh, he knew she liked expensive things, but he didn't mind. It was part of her, and there wasn't one bit that he didn't like. "You can charge me in favors, perhaps," he suggested, the picture of innocence betrayed only by the gleam in his eyes.
His laughter ended up muffled by her impulsive kiss, but he didn't mind in the slightest. "You, Ms. Kyle, look good in anything." He paused. "Or nothing at all." His gaze turned warmer, fonder, and he pretended to think about her question for a few moments. "I believe you might have," he teased, but he sobered a moment later. "I might love you just a little more, Selina."
