Re: first class - baths
Before he could get all tongue-tied and turned around, Jack thought quick and he spoke on instinct instead of logic. "I do," he assured her. "Family is supposed to love you for who you are, aren't they? They'll worry and they'll want to help, but they shouldn't want to change you when there's nothing wrong with you in the first place. But having family is better than not having it, isn't it?" All in all, he was rather proud of himself; he liked that answer. "Oh, I'm not like everybody either, but wouldn't it be boring if everyone was the same? Maybe your family just doesn't understand that yet," he said kindly. He didn't comment on Mister J, because he always seemed to say the wrong thing when it came to him, and he didn't really exist anyway, and he didn't want her stomping her feet and pouting at him again.
Yes, I have,, he thought, but that wasn't what he said. "No," Jack admitted instead. "I-- Yes, I suppose I've wanted to, but I haven't had the... opportunity. I've been busy." Yes, busy, that made a great deal of sense. He pressed his lips together as to not say that he thought she deserved better than Mister J, but oh, it was hard. So he smiled again, because he was good at curving his lips up into an upside-down frown, when when she kissed him again he mustered up whatever courage he had in his pinstriped body and kissed her back, just on the cheek, but it was enough to make him all sheepish again.
Taking over the boat sounded exciting, and a little dangerous, but he liked both. He liked danger. "Yes, bad guys steal things," he agreed. "There must be someone in charge. We can take over and make it go wherever he like!" Not that he knew where he'd go, but still, the possibility was what mattered. "I think so. Someone drives the boat, so to steal it, we'll have to drive it." He beamed at her. "We just have to go find the... driver's seat. Or whatever that is on a boat."
