The press of claw into skin made him hiss. He should have known better. But at least they didn’t sink, didn’t rend and didn’t spill him open, and he breathed a sigh of relief as they withdrew. “Better,” he agreed, already forgetting the sting of his small wounds in favor of the press of her lips against his. Her legs hooked around him made her slight weight all the easier to carry but he knew he couldn’t keep this up forever. Careful steps moved them both around, until his shoes found the wall and he gently pressed her back to it as well.
“There we go,” he murmured, pleased for no further protests so far and checking her to see if she’d sink her claws into him again. It didn’t last long, the desire to kiss her once more thrumming through him, and he captured her mouth, tugged her close for a deep kiss, before pulling away with his teeth worrying her lower lip. “We can’t stay out here forever, you know.”
