Re: first class - baths
"Then how do ya know, if no one said? Is it like me and bein' bad?" she asked. But bad wasn't the right word for what she was supposed to be. For starters, she was sure she was gonna lose points for sittin' here jabberin' at him for no reason at all. But what was she supposed to do? B-Man wasn't around causin' trouble, and Mister J wasn't askin' her to keep anyone from gettin' loose from wherever he'd tied 'em. There wasn't a party to crash or thugs to boss around. There wasn't none of the things she knew to do, unless she made him be B-Man, and then she had all the right moves from the walkthrough that she could do. She could mess up holdin' onto him plenty of times, and she could walk around and flick the pleats on her skirt in questionable ways. But she didn't think he looked like he could pull off B-Man. That strange grin of his wasn't a thing like B-Man's scowl. "Aww, but chaos is so much fun. It's the most fun a girl can have with her clothes on," she insisted cheerfully. "Ya should try it some day. Ya might like it." But not knowin' what he wanted was sad, and she didn't want him bein' sad. "Well, what do ya like doin?' That'll help figure out whatcha want for sure."
"I'm plenty smart. I'm a doctor," she said, tuggin' on her nametag again, pullin' it out as far as the white fabric would allow. "I guess it would be borin' if we were all the same," she agreed slowly. She wasn't sure it wasn't a trick question. Sometimes Mister J asked tricked questions, and she got 'em wrong. "The nice thing about Mister J is havin' someone to be crazy over. I'm kinda just nothin' without all this," she said, motionin' to the game around them. "I'm really nothin' special. Is your Sally somethin' special? She must be, huh?" She was rethinkin' not killin' him all of a sudden.
"I'm never somethin' I'm not, but that doesn't mean I don't disappoint people," she told him. "The people ya disappoint, would they be screamin' mad if you did what ya wanted instead?" she asked. She mighta kept on, but his clappin' was like someone pushin' that reset button, and she remembered what she was supposed to be doin.' How did they find a Sally. She thought he'd asked that. "We just grab one. Sally's a borin' name. There have to be Sallys all over," she enthused. She did a backflip toward the door of the bath, and then she did another. "Oh, yea. Ya can come outta there, silly," she added as an afterthought.
