"I don't usually keep any company at all. Not any more." Her eyes were wide but serious, focused on him. "The times I do, they're nice enough. They're just not for me." More honesty, and she paused a moment to wonder if maybe she shouldn't be sharing quite so much, but after a second of thought, it didn't seem quite so worrisome.
Her ear flicked up when he touched it, but then she stilled again and let him slide his fingers down over and through her hair. It nearly tangled around him, still fighting the wind, but slipped and parted after only a moment. Her eyes went half-slitted as she peered out at him, leaning forward on her hands so that her body angled toward him. "Cats only like it when they want to like it," she murmured, words almost too quiet to hear, but her next were stronger. "Only if you want to stop." Her voice wrapped warm around that statement, offering him an out. But the way she turned made her opinion on it very clear, as did the low rumble that could only be a purr starting up in the back of her throat.
