She watched him look toward the entrance, held her breath as she waited for him to go explore the inside on his own, to not simply take her word for it. But he stayed, turned back toward her, and she couldn't keep away the grateful slant that her smile gained. She matched his shrug, though hers was more a long line of smovement along her spine instead of a simple jerk of her shoulders. "The company didn't want to stick around," she revealed, a little too truthful on her tongue.
Her snort at the unintended pun was sudden and louder than her voice had been thus far. It was surprise combined with amusement, and it parted her lips in a smile that revealed the pair of sharp fang points to her teeth. She shook her head and chuckled, the low feminine roll returning to it. "Just not used to it, maybe. ...I don't let people pet me very often." But she couldn't stop the look down at his gloved hands. "Most of the time."
