Re: Third class, away from the dining room
The look on his face made her wonder if she should get a mirror. It felt strangely enough to have the wings behind her, and it seemed when she was nervous they fluttered a bit more frantically, like right now. She had a sneaking suspicion her purse was full of pixie dust and her wand was usable, but it seemed a terrible idea to test either of those options out. She also felt a strange urge to go and spread joy and hope and fulfill dreams. It didn't fit in too well with the current setting.
"Thank you," she said and took his offered forearm. It got her back on her feet, mostly. He was unrecognizable in his clothing, it seemed very different and alien from what she was used to. Once she felt more steady on her feet, she let go, and decided to halt the flying attempts for right now. With the way the ship felt like it was tilting, she could tumble off. Fairies did have a natural grace to them, and hopefully it would kick in eventually for her, so she stopped looking like she was half drunk.
"No, I don't remember getting here, do you? I closed my eyes and ...." She tried to think it through and fiddled with her hands. "I don't fully remember. What was right before or here." Normally that might alarm her, and it certainly was to an extent, while at the same time ... she felt unnaturally calm in this place. Or it could be a reaction to shock. She brushed dark hair out of her face and pulled the wand out from her cleavage. It was probably not the way normal fairies went about storing their prized possessions, but for her, it seemed the most natural place.
She cautiously shook it a little, and the tip started to glow. At the least it gave them better light, since it was flickering everywhere around them and this was the type of place where light was needed. "Creepy is an understatement, I think. How about you?"
