Re: Third class, away from the dining room
Okay she really wasn't sure yet what to call this. Magic? A very extravagant hallucination? But she accepted it fast. While she mulled it over, her wings fluttered behind her, making a distinct humming noise from the effort, and only a few moments later she realized she was half-way floating in the air. "Whoa!" Of course noticing meant she almost immediately dropped back to her feet. Which was fine, because she had a degree of motion sickness, and being on a rocky boat wasn't helping that either.
The wings were translucent and a turquoise shimmer shade, and the gown to match had a hoop skirt and petticoat, with the fabric only near to touching the floor. It was made of the softest material, glossy and pleasant to the touch. Her long dark hair was a mass of curls strung up into a high style with several tendrils falling intentionally free around her face. It looked good, but at this size it was slightly more difficult to move about. At least the wings didn't weigh her down, and it felt natural. Actually all of this was exciting. Weird, yes, but she used to dream of flying. Not that she'd trust herself to go up any higher than a half a foot at this point.
She was trying it out again and hovering somewhat awkwardly in the hall when a man stepped out and walked in the opposite direction. It was the first person she actually came across after trying to figure it out, so she waved in his direction. "Hey! Wait, hold o... oops." She landed a bit wrong on the ground and almost felt like she wrenched her ankle a little, cursing. She looked like an elegant fairy, but she didn't feel like much of one right then. "I'm good, everything's good." She got it back under control and came a little closer to him. "Did you see that dining room? Creepy."
