Re: Basement ; stage [adult]
His laugh made her warm, and she continued to smile at him, shaking her head. "I think you'd have to carry me. I don't believe I'd be able to go on all fours." There was a smirk to her smile, though, knowing and sly at the thought of being on all fours in his company.
She listened to his insistence, about to interject when he moved away, and her sly smile shifted into a disappointed frown. Pushing her arms behind her, she propped herself into a sitting position. Her dress was still askew, baring her legs as the skirt of it remained flipped up around her hips. She watched as she shifted, and even though she'd expected it, seeing him as a wolf close-up made her breath catch. She'd seen him onstage from across the room, but sharing the same space was another matter entirely. She didn't say anything for the passing of several shaking breaths, but then she extended a hand toward him, cautious and aware that she was reaching out to an animal that could tear her apart if he wanted. But wasn't that why he had caught her attention in the first place?
The nudge of his nose startled her, but it spurred her into enough action to move. The fingers of both her hands found fur, thick around the scruff of his neck, and she curled her hands into it, careful not to pull. "I believe you," she whispered, eyes on his as easily and intently as they had been when he'd been a man. Things had taken a turn in a direction she hadn't anticipated when she pulled him off the stage, and while her body still throbbed, her expression had gone very serious. "But... it's not against my will."
