Re: Dance Floor: Kitty & Peter
"They're nice people over there. They'd be lucky to have you stick around," he said, with warmth. He paused. Memory filtered in, and he hesitated. "Wait, Gwen told me that place doesn't exist here. The academy, I mean. I never went out there to check - have you? Is the school still there?"
In the version of the world that Peter had come from, his timeline or whatever you wanted to call it, the things that made up his own memory, the school existed. But Gwen had said that, in this world, it wasn't there. It was one of the reasons she wanted to start her new superhero group and invite the xies along in the first place. It was a strange thought, the Academy potentially not being there.
Peter didn't know what 'paired up' meant, but he had a sneaking suspicion, and it made his heart sink a little. "Yeah?" he asked, unsure of whether to press for details or not. He was starting to feel like the guy on the knife's edge with his friends. Just when he thought he'd found his footing, new information cropped up. "I bet you were a total badass, because you still are."
