Re: Gwen & Peter
Peter had, truthfully, been looking for Gwen all night. They weren't officially prom dates since they'd been absorbed into the conglomerate of everyone going as a group, and the whole situation had left him feeling completely unsure if she'd even wanted to go with him in the first place. She was way out of his league, just like most of the girls he was friends with, so it was no surprise if she'd decided to ditch him. Still kind of a bummer, though, she he was holding out hope.
When he finally made it off the main dance floor, though, there she was, just outside. The hallway was much cooler than the sweaty, humid room behind, and it felt like walking back into the real world after a sojourn in psychedelic teenage la-la land. "Fancy meeting you here," he said, breaking into a smile, his stomach doing that weird drop thing when he saw her casually lounging like a movie star with her shoes kicked off. "In this prom that we came in the same limo to. I never would have suspected."
