Re: Gwen & Harry
She looked beautiful, coat or not. He's never seen her like this, and he'd certainly never imagined it. It could have just been the lighting, with the dim glow that resembled candles while still being bright enough to offer a good glimpse for every chaperon in the area. Not that any seemed to be up here, and not that he was thinking of non-chaperon approved things with Gwen Stacy, but..
He meant to tell her that she was beautiful, but he was distracted by her own assessment. There was a boyish grin, insuppressible, and Harry dropped his attention to the front of his own tuxedo as he consciously straightened his clothing. Her next comments had him glancing up at her from beneath the crook of an amused eyebrow. "You're never weird, Gwen Stacy."
Just brilliant.
It seemed immediate to Harry that she didn't want to acknowledge what had occurred between them, because it would be weird. It was entirely understandable, as he'd caused her so much trouble already. Under more sober circumstances, he would have been surprised that she was talking to him at all. Perhaps fearful even that she might slap him in the face if he came much closer. But he was brave tonight.. or rather just unafraid of what the night could bring. He had some colorful pills in his pocket that could take care of any worries should they arise.
"You know," he started with a stroll up alongside her. Not too close, a good foot and a half away, actually. His fingers found the railing, and he leaned into it with trust that it was sturdy while he peered down onto the dance floor below. "I don't think dresses have a lot to do with scientific assessment," it was a counter offer. His attention remained on the floor below, but he was still very aware of where she stood at his side. "I think its a matter of opinion.."
