Harry's expression shuttered for a moment until he was gazing seriously at Draco Malfoy, his own stubborn expression on his features. "I wouldn't," insisted Harry softly. "I wouldn't give up on you. When you have me, you're in it for the long run." It was a simple truth, but it was true.
Harry never gave up on things that he cared about. Never once. It was both a good and a bad quality of his, both rewarding and punishing at the same time. When he found something he liked, he didn't back down. He was too used to not having things that he liked. "You don't have to worry about that," murmured Harry quietly. He leaned up and stole a kiss from his boyfriend, looking over at his nearly milky ice cream bowl with a small laugh. "Ice cream was a good idea, but I think I forgot about it."
