Re: Interior hallway
MK arrived late to her own party because what kind of person came on time to things like these? Not her, definitely because people like her needed to make a splash. No, she strolled in an hour and change late, already alcohol buzzing through her veins, and perhaps dressed up a little too much for a party in a hotel suite. Skirt barely skating her thighs, heels as high as she could manage, red hair vibrant against her pals skin. This was her party, her first since officially becoming a single woman again, permanently this time, and she would have a fantastic fucking time mine had to, or else she would lose her mind again. She tried hard not to think of Adam, let his face consume her thoughts, or his voice haunt every dream, but that proved difficult. Really difficult. Love wasn't something you could simply wash your hands of, she learned that years before, but this was even harder. Like a sharp knife in her chest and a quick kick to her stomach, it pained her constantly, and she needed to numb herself.
So oops, maybe she shouldn't have had chewed those pills before she got there. Maybe staying temporarily with Wren was supposed to sober her up. But Wren had gone AWOL, and so had Luke and Gus, so was she really responsible for keeping herself together? It was one party, and whatever. No one really cared what she did anymore anyway.
The redhead entered the party with a splash and maneuvered her way through the crowd with kisses and promises to do shots later or a quick chat about how so-and-so is. Eventually, and after only one bump of coke, she stumbled out of the pulsing dance floor and snuck away to one of the hallways towards the alcohol. She poured herself a measure of whiskey, msomething nice and warm to help her forget, and she turned to go back to the main room where people who actually appreciated her were. And that's when she spotted Sam. The corner of her lip turned up, and she dragged a light hand down the girl's arm. "Hey, baby doll.
