Re: Into the Woods
Damian had expected Jason to let him keep walking. Grayson wouldn't have let him run off, but Todd had a reputation of indifference to keep up. So, there was a look of surprise with a hint of that kinship he felt with Jason that made the little bird bring him back to life. "I would have." Damian said under his breath, face hitching up in a shameful grimace. "If I thought it would make me a better fighter. If I thought I could handle it." And, Damian thought he could handle anything.
But, the joke lightened his features a little and he turned his body to face Jason in a decision to stop running. "Jason." Damian couldn't look at the Hood, so he focused on a place just over his shoulder. He couldn't keep holding on the pit, could he? Even if Selina convinced him that they needed it. Even if without it, whoever died after this was probably dead for good. Damian finally looked up Todd. "I need you to make sure I don't make any more pits." Because no one else would. Not the rest of the family, not Ra's. Only Jason.
