Re: The not-woods
"Everyone's working for them, whether they want to or not. And if you're not working for them, you're working for us and I don't know you," not-Hel said, but she lowered the crossbow as Kara walked over to the map. Even the smart ones from Apokolips weren't interested in conversing so much as destroying and this girl wasn't doing that. And, if she was with them, she'd know exactly what those lights were. "Who are you?" She asked, less a demand this time and more curious.
"They're control towers," not-Hel said quietly, back to business as she reached up to touch the scar when Kara mentioned it. A gift from when she got a little too close to one of Darkseid's minions. "It was one of them. They were using my--" she paused, jaw tightening before she could get the words out. "They were using it to control us -- the humans. And now they're coming down."
As for the wires, less than half of them currently carried a charge. Only a few were used for electricity, two for communications, perhaps a land line telephone and one for internet. The rest of the wires ran from charges set around Wayne Manor to a small device that not-Hel was picking up off the console. If Kara looked, one particular wire ran down to bomb sitting directly beneath this room. It was not like the other charges as it had a radioactive sticker tacked onto the side.
"If you aren't with them, you have to leave. They're going to be here soon. They'll have traced it back to me," which was exactly what she wanted. "If I can't send them back to Apokolips, I can send them straight to hell."
Hels stopped where she'd been walking around the room before and looked at Kara. Wherever they were, wherever this stupid hotel had put them, things had just gone from bad to worse. When they'd left, Darkseid hadn't gotten full control of Gotham yet. There was no doubt in her mind that this was her home, her Gotham, and this scarred woman was some version of her that she never wanted to meet.
