"Maybe that is a good idea, but most hobbits are used to my stories by now," assured Sam gently. "Much of what happened did not get back to the Shire until after the war had ended. Once Mr. Frodo and I left, that is. Most of the hobbits just wanted to continue their lives as they would." Most hobbits also didn't like strangeness or crazy stories, but Sam and Frodo were different from most hobbits.
"And yes, these little walks around the Shire aren't nothing compared to the walk to Mordor." It was strange, knowing what it felt like to be a Ring-bearer, to go to Mount Doom, yet...none of that had happened yet. "So what of the elves, Legolas? Lady Arwen?" Sam was curious, wondering if the pretty elf who Aragorn loved was still safe. "Or Lady Galadriel?" She had made the most impression on Sam, but all elves were unique to him and special.
They were approaching the outskirts of the actual village now. The hills were visible just a few hundred feet away, and the rolling hills that represented the hobbit houses could be seen as well.
