Who: Elinor and an appearance from Samwise Where: Apartment shopping and moving in When: Today, Tuesday, December 11, afternoon Warnings/Ratings: None!
Elinor had been very busy since her move to Las Vegas. She'd secured an internship at a local law firm and she even managed to crash at some cheap hotel for a few days as she apartment hunted. Nothing seemed decent, or far too expensive for Elinor's tastes. As she took taxis and hiked it the rest of the way around the city, Elinor was about ready to toss in the towel when a quick internet search provided her with an address to something called the Cambridge Park Towers, with a decent price offering. Two hundred a month was definitely something she could afford, so she knew she should at least check it out.
Walking comfortably in a pair of nice blue jeans and a loose long sleeve shirt, Elinor made her way towards the apartments after stopping once to assure herself of the directions. It was as she approached the place that the somewhat new, genuinely curious voice spoke up in her head. Those are pretty big, the voice said, the awe in his tone. It's like something the elves would build! Samwise was, in Elinor's opinion, quite lucky to be in her head as she already knew who he was and knew about his world. She could handle the strange comments. "Sadly, no elves exist here," she murmured, keeping her voice low enough that no one around would here. "At least, none that I know of yet."
As she approached the complex, Elinor greeted the manager and sat down to chat and bargain prices with them. It was a relatively easy thing, and it didn't take them long to sign a year long contract. When she set foot into the apartment, Elinor grinned at the view that the apartment provided her. It was a wonderful, big window, that overlooked everything. It's so big, so large! I wonder if it really is magic that did this. Mr. Frodo would probably know. He's got all sorts of stories from Gandalf and Bilbo, Sam supplied helpfully, and Elinor grinned despite herself. She couldn't really argue with Sam on those points, and she flopped down comfortably on her new bed with a sigh. Yes, this would definitely be an interesting place to live.
