Leo certainly wasn't about to share any of this story with the entire staff that he works with. He was rather content to stay here, and when Beth asked that simple question, Leonard shook his head slowly. "She'd left," he explained softly, "when I was away at prep school at Devon. She never really...I never really had a chance to talk to her about it. I couldn't track her down, and finally tracked her down to Las Vegas when I came here recently."
He flushed a moment, realizing he probably sounded like a horrible stalker and took a sip from his tea to calm himself a bit. "I mean, I didn't...well, have to stalk her or anything, but she was, well, just like a mother to me, and I hadn't known why she'd just left one day." Leo looked down into his tea cup, sure it sounded crazy. He could almost see why Andrew had assumed he'd been romantically involved with the woman.
