Leonard really hadn't been paying that much attention when he'd left the break room. His mind was whirling. He knew Elizabeth hadn't been anything more than your typical nanny to his parents, someone to raise him while they were off doing what they wanted to do with their lives, but Leonard...well. He thought of her quite differently, to say the least.
He glanced over at the woman who had bumped into him...or rather, whom he'd bumped into perhaps was a better choice of words, then offered a cheery smile. Or at least, that's what he thought he was doing. It came off more of a dazed expression, his eyes perhaps a little too bright and his hands shaking. That, he could fix at least, as he stuffed them frantically and determinedly into his pockets.
"To be honest, not really, Miss, but I'm afraid that cannot be helped much at the moment," Leonard returned, his own southern British accent coming back strong after the conversation with his mother. There were times when he could tone it down quite a bit, but there were still more times when it decided to shine quite proudly through.
