WHO Harley

WHEN While Bats goes crazy
WHERE Gotham
WARNINGS None
It didn't take very long to convince the Dean to fast track her paperwork to show that she was a Gotham U graduate. Men like him were all too simple to manipulate, particularly when she was all too willing to satisfy him in ways his wife hadn't for nearly twenty years. There wasn't a chance in hell Harley was going to sit through another four years of college when it was a miracle she'd gotten through it the first time around. Thankfully, she had practice with bribery and she hadn't lost her touch. Her earlier efforts with one of the doctors at Arkham meant it should be easy to get in, provided she passed her exams as per the deal she made with the Dean. But fuck, did she hate tests. Passing was all she need though and a C- was still passing. There was a moment there, where she thought maybe going to Arkham was a bad idea, that the same thing would happen all over again. Harley dismissed it rather quickly though, deciding that it would be a good thing to get a fresh start and do it right this time. Learn from her mistakes and all that jazz. After sitting her exams, she took her hyenas to an abandoned warehouse and chained them up, supplying them with some bones to keep them quiet before anonymously calling in a tip with their location. She was sad to see them go, but it had to be done if she wanted to move on with this new direction. It was hard to ignore the chatter about Batman and Red Hood, so Harley steered clear by spending most of her time on the other side of the door. The stuff she had in that rundown apartment in one of the worse places in Gotham didn't matter so she didn't bother going back for it. Instead, she got herself settled in as an intern at Arkham and her appearance went unnoticed for the most part due to the craziness going on outside. It was a good sign, as far as she was concerned, and she was going to take advantage of it. Onwards and upwards. She'd be back on her feet in no time. |
