Neither was there a gold watch chain cutting across its buttons. Of course he had the benefit of money at his disposal, but he wasn’t one to flaunt it or abuse it. Not like he had been last night. He usually wasn’t one to be rude to girls, either, or to flirt with young women that also happened to be birds. Whatever had happened to her (and while she was calm enough, she wasn’t particularly forthcoming with details), was apparently a bit more violent than what had happened to him. He had been planning to go back to Wayne Manor, to check to see whether the family had fared alright through last night’s strangeness, but he felt as if she needed time as well, to see to whatever had happened to her. Just a quick check then, and a hope that the family was alright.
