The Ghost took the criticism in so quickly that it seemed to have no effect at all. The smile stayed, and his eyes still glowed with heavy-lidded confidence. He would have said that the opinion didn't matter, but he said that a lot, and at every opportunity. In reality he just took it in, absorbed it, and didn't expend the energy to fight it. He tipped his head as if in agreement and again slowly straightened into wide-kneed sitting.
He didn't stop the Wolf, not with the threat of teeth. He might move around, try to get someone else's attention before he faded, now that he knew it was possible, but this one was too dangerous to stay with. "Yes, they do. Fight smart, Wolf, and you won't end up with your throat ripped out."
