"Not at all." A truth. Tonight had been entirely free, and while he had expected something from before, the results had been less than ideal. Now he had this girl in his sights, and as he stepped inside and let the curtain shadow them, he didn't have anyone else seeking his time or attention. Which hurt, in a few small ways, but hardly enough to bring him down.
He settled down on another cut-out patch of stone, legs crossed at the knee, his dim silhouette in the semidarkness still somewhat looming and impressive. She couldn't see his smile, but it was there all the same.
"Tonight, I'm quite free of any other requirements, though I have a few things in mind to attempt before the night is out. Nothing to interrupt us, however." He leaned forward with his hands clasped, intent and focused on her, able to see her slightly better than she could likely see him. "And you? Is someone waiting for you down those stairs that you'd rather not run into?"
