Grand Staircase; in the shadows
There was no way he was going to miss a party, no way he would refuse to attend, so when he entered, dropping onto all fours with a sound that might have been pain, plans were already going through his mind. Black fur and eyes that pierced through the darkness, he enjoyed this new form, sleek and graceful, dark and deadly.
He kept to the edges of the room as he stepped up the first set of stairs, one paw after another, tail swishing behind him. Ducking his head, he moved a set of curtains to the side and it was within their shadows, their velvet embrace, he hid himself. Licking his teeth, the panther waited for his prey to make itself known.
