Draco chewed on his lip for a minute, unsure, then the smile came back. "A little." Really a lot, but the bluff was necessary. This whole 'friendship' confused him, especially since he couldn't really count many close friends. "Thanks." The word was nearly a whisper, but also a strange type of acquiescence.
He nodded to the clerk as they walked out. He tried on one of the gloves, looking at it admiringly. It looked good. He was distracting himself with it a little bit, but his eyes drifted up to the Weasley's shop. This was a test. He was a persona-non-grata at that place, he was sure. Why would he even want to walk into the lion's den? He didn't expect to be embraced. Embarrassed was the emotion he expected. His teeth skirted over his lip again. "Alright, now let's go see the shop." Would Harry join in with his friends, or would he not?
