Yukiko grinned when she saw her new friend answer the door. It was nice, to have someone so carefree like this around her. She'd been so accustomed to strict rules and regulations, even at the police force, that now was her chance to really be herself. "I suppose," she returned cheerfully enough, "if you'll use the chopsticks I brought you. Okaasan would be upset if I knew I was friends with a gaijin. A gaijin who can at least use chopsticks is a step higher on his scale." She was grinning, clearly joking with her choice of words. The sad thing was, her words were probably more true than not.
"And if you really want me to forgive me, let me destroy you in Halo." She smiled charmingly, setting her bags down on the floor beside them as she entered his home. She hesitated only a moment, wondering if it would be an insult to take off her shoes. Deciding to go with it, the girl slid off her shoes and opened her backpack to reveal slippers. She glanced back over at Lin with a knowing smirk on her features.
