He was sharing more with Lord Percy than he had with almost anyone else since coming here. Perhaps it was their shared nationality, or perhaps their personalities were fairly common. Or perhaps it was just his understanding of the other's situation. Whatever it was, Leonard was glad for it.
However, this was a rather personal question to a young man who'd been fairly quiet about it for most of his life, even in his decisions for moving to America. It had been about his job, yes, but that had been his advertised reasons. He now glanced over to the noble with a small smile on his features. "I can only imagine what it's like having everyone know who you are. Being unable to do much and everything," commented Leonard softly. "My nanny is who I'm looking for. She came to America suddenly during my last year of school, saying she was to be wed, or at least, that's the excuse I received. I traced her to here, but...other than that, I don't know."
Leonard shrugged, looking out the window carefully. "I guess I'm searching because she was really the only family I had. My parents ran in the upper nobility circles. They were more focused on their lives and their professions than raising me. I guess it shocked me enough that she just up and left me when I was still in school, and I wanted to know why."
