It was far too easy to put on the airs of the proper British man, falling back into his old habits as easy as slipping a knife into a soft piece of apple pie. It was a lifestyle he had fled from, but it was not one so willingly left behind in the dust. He reached his own hand out to firmly shake Andrew's, aware that he probably never would have had this opportunity had he remained in England. Wouldn't his parents be so proud, that their son was befriending a Lord?
"It's lovely to see you, as well. I've been faring well so far," he returned easily in response, his British accent thicker than it usually was here now that he was speaking to a fellow Brit. It was something that happened without Leonard even thinking about it; something that easily occurred that he had no say in the matter. The niceties were a must with British royalty, as Leonard knew well. He would play nice for now, then get to the real conversation later.
"And yourself? How have you been managing?" It was a sharp blow for any fiancee to flee their future husband. It was even more so when royalty dodged marriage by a narrow rock in the water.
