Andrew really should have left Las Vegas right after Serafina, but he didn't. She had vanished on him once before to come here, and then again, and had not sent word. While he admitted to being naive, that sent a clear enough message that she didn't want to be found. He didn't want to chase, and he certainly didn't want to beg. The loss would be a blow, but the pattern of disappearances would do further damage. He decided to stay in Las Vegas after all, wishing to simply let the press die down.
"Leonard," he said, reaching the door. "It's lovely to see you." He held out a hand to shake. This last week had been interesting and it left him in fine spirits.
"How have you been?" He was really very pleased to have someone from similar circles around him. He would definitely help him blend in a bit more, and he could be a trusted friend. They were off to a fine start.
