The first vision, or memory, or dream, whatever it was supposed to be called, hadn't felt that strange. He'd felt part of the dream, not like he was intruding. This one, however, as the second wave hit him hard, Leo felt like he was intruding into someone else's precious memories. A person's memories were the most important thing to them, and this caused Leo to feel like he should apologize to whomever's mind he was invading. However, his lips couldn't form the words, and he couldn't quite pull himself out of it. Helpless, he just kept watching.
This world seemed far different from any world that he knew. The sun felt warm and brilliant and as he watched, the girl ran into the house, but the boy hesitated. Why? Was he afraid of the sun? Leo had his suspicions, but he knew this was not something that he could easily confirm.
As the world swam back into view, Leo wanted to reach for that sun, to assure the boy that it was okay to reach out to that sun. He wondered who it was who was worrying over the sunlight, and he had a thousand questions in his own mind about what it was that he'd just seen.
