The vision faded and Tess waited for Snow’s usual explanation but none quite came. Snow thought he might be familiar. He reminded her of someone, the clues were all there, and yet she hadn’t known much about the hunter who saved her life. The place he came from and how he had come to cross paths with the queen were never told to her. Their meeting was a fleeting moment in the forest but she tucked this new information away for later.
Tess and Snow waited in quiet silence but no more scenes came to wash over them.
“Think it’s over?”
For now.
Neither of them knew still what those were. Memories, yes, but why?
“How do you think it all happened?” Even without voicing it so expressly, Snow knew she meant more than this strange occurrence. There was also why she was there, tucked away in the mind of another.
