Re: [Theo/Kitane] Bartolotta
Theo remembered that first night she'd had whiskey and he was very glad she'd sworn off it after that. While he wasn't opposed to making sure she made it into bed whenever she had too much to drink, he couldn't quite handle how giggly she'd gotten. Perhaps that was what he'd missed by never having children? If that was the case, he was glad to have missed it. He also really didn't need the mental image of Kitane being his daughter. He'd seen far too much of her body for that to be even remotely decent. No, that thought was best left very very far away from the surface of his mind.
Her comment about everything being better than whiskey earned a chuckle but then their appetizers arrived and he enjoyed his spaghetti quite a bit. The ravioli came and he didn't mind sharing with her if her fork happened to stray across his plate. She seemed to be enjoying the risotto (a plus for him, in his opinion) and then the gnocchi as well. He only stole a few bites from her, enjoying gnocchi in small doses, not a full portion. He knew he'd really done a good job ordering for her when the final course came. She even sucked on the spoon! That made Theo smile, more than a little pleased with himself at the outcome. His own meal was delicious, all things he'd had before, but it was always important to him that Kitane enjoyed herself while they were out.
That, of course, didn't stop him from coloring slightly when she leaned over to kiss his cheek. He hadn't had anyone do that in the longest time and that it was Kitane...Theo had to shake his head to keep his thoughts from drifting. "You're welcome, sweetheart," he replied warmly, reaching for her hand. He lifted her hand to his lips and pressed a careful kiss there, before giving her a soft squeeze. "I'm glad you enjoyed it." That made the price more than worth it and he happily signed the check after leaving a generous tip, careful not to let Kitane see the price tag of their meal. An argument would just ruin the night they were having already.
"Now, are you quite sure you're up for going to one of the clubs?" He stood and held out his arm for her, intending on escorting her to wherever she wished to go and leaving her there for her to have some fun. He certainly didn't want to stay and watch her dance around or do god knew what on the dance floor. No, he'd much rather let her have her fun and be there to take her home afterward. That was a very wise plan, indeed.
