It always felt like the day was much longer when Pepper was in control. Felicia didn't mind too much today considering what she'd heard about her sister. This Miguel character was the suspected leader of the Las Gramma criminal organization, responsible for human trafficking, smuggling cocaine and heroin, and illegal gambling parlors of all things. Thank god her source provided her information on his family as well. A wife, two children, and a mistress with an unconfirmed identity. That was the only protection that Hailey had right now and that didn't make her comfortable at all. They were in some serious shit and there was no doubt in Felicia's mind that Hailey had been in love with an idealized version of this man. The whole situation was fucked up and Pepper was just sitting there silently, the 'I told you so' felt more than heard. Some days, it was just easier being Pepper and Pepper would say the same about her.
Since her brother arrived earlier that afternoon, Pepper agreed to cut her workday short and Felicia was home at 6pm on the dot. Dressed casually in a skirt and blouse combo, she looked every bit a businesswoman on her day off and that was exactly how Felicia liked it. She stepped gratefully into the cool air of the condo and shut the door behind her, dropping her purse and keys on the side table. Her phone was fished out - on the off chance Tony or Silver needed them - and then she was making her way into the kitchen where she heard Sean and Hailey in.
"Looks like today is good for pizza," she said in greeting, noting that Hailey was eating. She gave Sean a kiss on the cheek before grabbing a plate of her own and pulling a slice of plain out of the box. She took a bite before putting it down on her plate. "So, you're on those journals too huh? Who've you got yapping in your ear?"
