Stark Industries puts out a press release explaining about a lab accident unrelated to the evacuation incident.  That news is mostly overshadowed by the fact that Tony Stark was in the lab when the accident occurred and that he didn't survive.  Stark Industries zips its lips as a whole and Pepper's only statement - "He is- was, excuse me, a brilliant man who did extraordinary things.  Now, if you'll excuse me, I'd like to mourn in peace." Video footage shows her walking away as questions about the Iron Man suit are shouted after her.  Speculation runs rampant about what will happen with the technology and the government is already circling.  Funeral arrangements are published as well, though the wake and funeral itself are closed to the general public.

[Twelve hours after Silver doesn't check in to a certain number, a security protocol issues an overnight to Wren Maheu at her most recent residence. A familiar deep painting, water, depth and ocean, arrives. She would know it well, as she picked it out. There is no note.]

[Because journals are immune to power outages and communication blocks (take that, Loki). She's sitting in Oscorp, where there is generator power, on top of a lab desk. She's been at the lab all day, and there are no working radios or televisions, so she doesn't know about anything at Stark Tower.]

When he picks up the automatic operator says 'You have a collect call from -' there isn't a name right away, just heavy breathing really, and then a tired, gruff, certainly bitter, and almost absent 'the Boy Wonder' comes across the line. 'Press 1 or say 'accept' to accept the charges. To decline simply hang up.'
