[About four a.m., at the point where it's less night and more morning, a rather insistent alarm starts to go off on Oracle's computers. She was maybe trying to get some rest between other things, but the alarm ends that, and she's instantly awake. When she sees that it's a notification about certain tests being requested at the hospital, she just blinks for a few seconds before saying anything. Her next words are an automatic response, and she forgets that she has a comm in her ear. It broadcasts her voice and the annoying beep of the alarm before she shuts it off.]

Police have identified the victim in a supposed home-invasion early last week as Sophie Chase, (21), formerly from London, England, attending school at UNLV. Seriously? This is what they're worried about? It was only set 17 minutes to midnight at the end of the bloody Cold War. So we're only 12 minutes closer to impending doom. Like I'm all that bloody worried about that. So what would it take to get them to decide that the world isn't close to its doom?
