Spring has arrived. My windows were coated in gold this morning, made it look like the entire city had turned to gold.

PURVAMA
Purvama has been rented out for the night for a Valentine's Gala and Charity Event. The club's usual aesthetic has been slightly overhauled for the evening, with lots of pink and purple lights to give the right atmosphere. The decoration is simple but classy, and tickets have been sold in advance. All proceeds benefit various community projects within the Bronx.The event is the brainchild of Loren Moon and Helena West, two of New York's biggest socialites and philanthropists. The two wanted to have an event to celebrate love without alienating single people, and also give back to the community. So they're throwing a large Valentine's and Singles party on Friday, February 12th. The event will involve food, drinks, music, and a Valentines Auction as well as a silent auction.
The two hope the event will pave way for further functions in the Bronx that will call attention to the community and also support local charities and endeavors. If it goes well, look forward to seeing more events in the future.
DRINKS AND TREATS
The bar of the club is fully stocked, and there is a full menu of Valentine's and Lonely Hearts themed drinks, depending on what works for you. Expect lots of pretty cocktails in red and pink and purple.There are also an array of hors d'oeuvres and treats. These are covered by the ticket cost for the event, and the drinks are acquired with drink tickets. You get two with your ticket and you can purchase additional tickets if you wish.
There is an expectation that nobody will get sloppy, but they want people to have fun.
VALENTINE'S DAY CHARITY GALA AND AUCTIONS
The Singles Auction is the centerpiece of the Gala, and the main way they are raising money. Ticket sales are all well and good, but they only bring in so much. So some local single volunteers have signed up to be auctioned off as dates to whoever wins. Obviously, with Helena and Lore both highly involved in the LGBTG+ community, sexual preferences are taken into account for the volunteers.They also understand not everyone has a lot of money, even if they do want to support charity. That is why there are multiple ways to bid. If you have your own money and want to bid, go ahead. But if you're struggling, but still want to support charities and good causes, there are also anonymous backers who are willing to support bidders up to a certain point. If you elect to go this route, you will be given a total you can bid for the evening and that money will be provided by a wealthy backer.
Obviously consent is important and there are no expectations that anyone will go out of their comfort zone. The bid is for one evening of social interaction. However, if you hit it off, good for you.
Additionally, outside of the Date Auction, there is also a silent auction with various items up for bidding. Write down your bids as the night goes on and whoever bids the most will get their item.
